1. Briefly wash (never soak) it in dishwashing soap and water.
2. Dry with a towel then heat your pan on the stove for 1 to 2 minutes until bone dry.
3. Coat it lightly with cooking oil while the pan is still hot.
4. Store it covered in paper towels to absorb any moisture.
